About Pink Tableau

Pink Tableau is an acrylic and oil painting recreating the feelings behind a scene from Seville. I let intuition and my ‘mistakes’ in production guide me in creating. Through this piece I apply my lived experience of this moment to depict a ‘Pink Tableau’; a replication of my emotions at the time. I look at how I can communicate feeling without realistic form. I explore how mark making, expressive brush strokes and colour are what is integral to the creation of my own reality.

About Cala Moresca Blues

This piece directs my practice into a more expressive style; I recreate a scene from Cala Moresca, a beach I biked to in Sardinia. This painting entails the relationship I have with my close friends and the comfort I feel from their presence; a bittersweet moment.

‘Golden State’ captures the laid-back spirit of California, using vibrant, playful frames to reflect my personal experiences of visiting these places throughout my life.

This piece is a response to the title In Real Time. I created the painting to reflect on a nostalgic yet mundane moment from my life, creating the feeling of a scene I’ve observed since childhood: looking out the window while making breakfast, watching my grandad water the flowers in the garden.
